One killed in mishap

Imphal, December 23: In a road mishap involving a truck carrying sand and cement that took place at a spot along IT road about 4 kms from Kangpokpi bazar, a 60 year old man was killed at about 11 am today.

The deceased is identified as Henjahao Lotjam (60) of Lungphou village under Kangpokpi police station.

The truck fully loaded with cement and sand was also carrying people over the goods. As the truck could not negotiate the ascent of IT road, it felled back unloading the sand and cement together with the people. In the process, Henjahao was buried inside the sand.

When the fellow passengers pulled Henjahao and rushed to hospital, he succumbed on the way.
