Imphal, January 16: A refresher course on Ethical Theory and its applied aspects which would continue for 21 days has begun from today at Manipur University.

The inaugural function of the refresher course being organised by Philosophy Department of the University was held at its Senate Hall with Vice Chancellor Prof C Amuba Singh and retired Director of IIAS, Shimla Prof Bhuvam Chandel as chief guest and president respectively.

Dean of School of Humanities of Manipur University Prof Devaraj and president of Manipur Philosophical Society Prof H Ranbir and Prof S Shyamkishore Singh of Philosophy Department, Manipur University were also present at the occasion as guests of honour.

A book titled 'The Vedic Tradition, Srimad Bhagavat Gita and Vaishnavism' written by retired IAS officer H Ranbir Singh was also released by the chief guest during the function.
