Lamka, May 08: Churachandpur District Students' Union today announced its intention of closing down the Zonal Education Office from May 9 as a 'first step of agitation to ensure transparency, authenticity and legitimacy' on recruitment of Assistant Teachers on contract basis.

Owing to negligence of Minister (Education) and MLAs concerned regarding transparency and screening of candidates on April 26 and subsequent reminder on May 3, 'CDSU is compelled to launch agitation', highlighted the student body in a memo placed before the district's Deputy Commissioner today in addition to cautioning that its agitation will be intensified if the Government fail to honour the union's demand by Saturday.
