The attention of RIMS authority has been drawn to a news items about non-appointment of a full-fledged Deputy Director (Administration) in the Institute.
In a statement, media advisor of the Institute clarified that the RIMS authority has been searching in vain for a suitable candidate for the post for the last nine years.
One MCS Officer was sent last year but he left RIMS after just three months for reasons obvious to all.
RIMS had recently issued advertisement two times for the post and the Chief Secretary of the State was also requested to depute an IAS or MCS officer.
One eligible candidate has applied and his application is being processed.
Steps are being taken up for an early appointment.
The incumbent DDA retired on Feb 28, 2006.Since there is no candidate to fill up the post he was given an extension of 6 months in the last meeting of the executive council with full powers and functions of a fullfledged Dy Dir (Adm).
