A ginger plantation scheme under the MCA programme initiated by Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) and 27 Sector AR was inaugurated today at Awang Khul of Tamenglong district.
It is reported that the scheme to be implemented by the women of Awang Khul at two different places covering 8 hectares would benefit 150 families.Speaking on the inaugural occasion, CO of 38 AR, Vijay Khanna informed that in addition to ginger seedlings, fertilizers and other technical aids to be provided by AR for the scheme, AR would also help in the marketing of the products.
