Imphal, October 21: The Pradhan of Keirao Gram Panchayat, Md Abdul Kalam was shot dead by unidentified gunmen today at Keirao Awang Leikai, Major Ingkhol Leirak under Irilbung P/S of Imphal East District.

The source informed that the Pradhan shot dead at around 1:40 pm was found with three bullets lodged in his body and added that the killers might be cadres of PULF.

PULF has claimed responsibility for the killing.

In a statement, its Commanding Officer Bashir Laskar alleged that Abdul Kalam conspired and collaborated in the killing of its member Kayamuddin and Md Amir by police commandos.
