Imphal, November 08:
Following the completion of Operation Tornado by the Army in Bekra region of Jiribam, about 40 families which had fled their homesteads have returned home.
In a statement, PIB Defence Wing quoting Army authorities said that the displaced persons returned to their homesteads today following the sense of security provided by the Army.
The statement further said that consequent to their shifting to Jiribam, the Army and police authorities interacted with these families and assured them of their safety whenever they chose to return to their land.
