The case regarding the untimely demise of The Sangai Express cartoonist H Khenthang following a motor accident on January 12 at Poreiromba Khongnangkhong has been amicably settled, said a press statement issued by member of the Household Council, Paite Veng.
The matter was discussed between representatives of Tahir Ali, a Government Advocate residing at Minuthong involved in the accident and members of the customary Paite Inndongta (Household Council) representing the late H Khenthang.
The Inndongta of Khenthang appreciated the candid approach and gesture of Tahir Ali and accepted a token sum from his (Ali's) representatives that softened the minds of deceased party, said the Council release.
