Imphal, July 29 2010:
Electronic items worth around Rs 10.50 lakh were stolen by breaking the lock of a shop at Singjamei Super Market under Singjamei Police station last night.
Miscreants looted the shop belonging to one Yambem Boynao son of late tombi of Singjamei Okram Leikai.
According to the shop owner, four cartons of mobile hand sets were arrived in the shop yesterday from New Delhi but when he came up this morning to unpacked and check the goods items in the cartons, all the 12 padlocks of the shutter of the shop were found broken and took away all the items in the four cartons.
Apart from this, mobile handsets stored in the shop were also taken away by the miscreants, he added.
