Imphal, May 28: Acting on a tip off, troops of 22 Maratha LI seized 200 litres of country made liquor from a person while transporting the liquor on horse back yesterday at Khambong village.

A statement issued by the PRO of HQs IG AR (S) further informed that 400 litres of liquor was seized from a car at Bomdiyar village in addition another 200 litres from the same village.

The seized liquor were destroyed at Situ in the presence of local Meira Paibis while apprehended individuals were handed over to Patsoi police station, added the statement.
