AMADA to intensify drive

Imphal, Aug 25: Despite facing numerous opposition and hostility from different section of the people, the All Manipur AntiDrug Association has pledged to intensify its drive against drugs and intoxicants.

In a statement, AMADA said that liquor which was brewed as a tradition has today become a source of livelihood.

To provide other means of livelihood to the people who have been brewing liquor as a tradition, AMADA has started discussing things on how to provide them other means of livelihood.

However till date no mass meeting has been held.

If necessary AMADA will keep a close watch at the surrounding areas where liquor is brewed including Kabui settlements.
