Imphal, Jul 24:
Assam Rifles personnel and People for Animals today rescued a brown coloured colt which was seen limping on the western side of Kangla road today.
In a statement, the PRO of Assam Rifles said that the left hind leg of the colt was crushed by vehicle some days back and the injured animal was carried in an Assam Rifles vehicle to the State Veterinary Hospital.
Dr Meghajit Sing provided the dressing and medicine for the injured colt.
The animal was evacuated to Kusum Animal Care Centre, by the People for Animals Thoubal.
Singson Danny and Loken Singh , Chairperson of PFA, Langathel, Thoubal assured further care and treatment for the animal, added the statement.
