Imphal, May 21:
A UNLF cadre injured in a gun fight with NSCN (IM) cadres at Bongbul village of Ukhrul district along Myanmar border on May 11 was operated upon at RIMS yesterday night and his left leg amputated.
The amputated cadre is one Maibam Roshan (21) of Palace compound.
He was amputated with the permission of his family members as his injured leg began decomposing and started infecting other parts.
