Andro resolves to track down culprits

Imphal, Jul 11: A public meeting held at Andro High School hall today resolved to pursue after the masked assailants who assaulted a young woman at Andro Chambra Leikai in the wee hours of July 4 till the culprits are found out if they do not voluntarily surrender and apologise to the people within five days.

The meeting organised by JAC Against the Assault on Ch Rabika Devi further resolved to submit a memorandum to the Govt for finding out the culprits at the earliest possible so that befitting punishment could be meted out to them.

If the demand of the JAC implemented by the Govt, the meeting further resolved that intense agitation would be launched against the Govt.The meeting attended by a large number of people was attended by Khullakpa of Andro village P Chandra Singh as chief guest and Andro Meira Paibi president Ch Manglembi Devi as president.

Apunba Khunai Lamjing Lup president A Ibetombi Devi and Councillors of Andro Nagar Panchayat like A Leirangton Devi and Ch Momon Singh were also present at the occasion as guests of honour.
