Imphal, October 07: A Jamadar of Ist Manipur Rifles has been hospitalised after a candidate participating in the recruitment rally for selection of Constable driver rammed into a tree during the test drive today.

The Jamadar identified as Ningthoujam Amuthoi (55) was one of the Board members of the recruitment rally held at the complex of the 2nd IRB located inside Khuman Lampak Sports Stadium today and he was inside the truck when the test drive of the candidate identified as Laishram Arun of Kodompokpi was being carried out.

The injured Jamadar has been admitted to Shija Hospitals and Research Institute.

The candidate also suffered some minor injuries.
