Imphal, November 06: The corpse of a woman who succumbed to some ailments on the way to RIMS yesterday midnight has been lying at RIMS morgue as her parents suspect some foul play in the death.

The deceased woman is identified as Sophia alias Chaoba (18) w/o Md Amir Khan of Yairipok Ningthounai and staying at Hatta.

According to her parents, Sophia talked with her elder sister over telephone till midnight yesterday before the telephone line snapped abruptly but just half an hour later they were informed of her death.

Following a complaint of suspicion in the death of Sophia, a case has also been registered at Porompat police station.
