Imphal, Jun 01: Under its MCA programme, 38 AR under the aegis of HQs 59 Mountain Brigade handed over a youth centre to the villagers of Noney today, said a PIB (DW) press release.

The Centre inaugurated by Brig Raman Dhawan of 59 Mountain Brigade was entrusted to the joint care of Noney Youth Club and Longmai Village Authority.

The youth centre is equipped with state of art multi gym, exercise cycle, jogger, stepper, vibrator belts, medicine balls, weightlifting equipment and other exercise tools, mentioned the release.

Meanwhile a statement issued by the PRO of HQs IG AR (S) informed that a community hall inaugurated by Col Vijay Khanna of 38 AR was handed over to the villagers of Tupul today.

It is said that the community hall would benefit about 15 neighbouring villages.

Cultural programmes also featured in the inaugural function which was attended by a large number of people.

Col Vijay Khanna called upon the people to shun violence and join mainstream to ensure development and progress, conveyed the statement.
