Imphal, January 13: Acknowledging Department of Personnel order on immediate effect of regular appointment of AK Parashar as State Director General of Police (DGP), the new DGP has outlined the priorities of police department during his stint.

The police officer hailing from Punjab confided that he would like to see Manipur police as an effective, efficient and disciplined police force to service the State people.

All efforts would be made to project police personnel as reliable and trusted friend of the society heartily able to welcome and accord respect to the people so that they (public) can approach policeman without any hesitation, emphasized AK Parashar.

He further stressed that all police activities would be aimed towards generating security among the general public to as to imbibe into the people sense of cooperation to the police force in eradicating criminal elements from the society.
