Imphal, February 20, 2010: For reportedly molesting a neighbouring girl, house of the accused has been demolished by an irate mob yesterday.

Oinam Raikumar (44) of Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai reportedly made indecent advances towards a neighbouring girl at about 4.30 pm yesterday.

Infuriated on learning about the incident, local people attacked the house of Raikumar and razed it down last night.

It is reported that Raikumar used to stay alone in a room of the house while other rooms are let out on rent.

His parents and relatives live at Nganappithong.

He has gone into hiding following the incident and is absconding.

Demanding the family to produce Raikumar, the local people continued demolition of the accused's house today too.

Later, police arrived at the scene and pacified the crowd.
