Cadres of the rival factions of NSCN were engaged in a gun battle at around 7:30 am at Makhan.
When personnel of 14 AR advanced to the spot, two lathode bombs were recovered.
According to information received from Assam Rifles, both the lathode bombs have been safely defused.
