Ukhrul, February 13: A high level security meeting meeting to discuss the arrangements for the third phase polling to be held on February 23 was held today.

Apart from discussing the security arrangements to be taken up it was also decided that three choppers will be used to transport poll officials and material to the interior areas.

With CEO RR Rashmi in the chair, the ROs of the three districts of Tamenglong, Chandel and Churachandpur as well as SPs concerned, officials of the BSF, CRPF, Assam Rifles and Army attended today's meeting, which incidentally was the final security meeting for the third phase.

One helicopter each will be assigned to each of the three districts to transport officials and poll material as well as to meet any eventuality, said a reliable source.
