Imphal, September 06:
As in the past, prayers to bring about communal harmony and restore Naga-Kuki relationships would be the main highlight of Black Sept observation to be held on Sept 13 at the village, town and State levels, informed Kuki Inpi Manipur.
The observance is in remembrance of the genocide against Kuki villagers of Joupi, Janglenphai (Tamenglong) and Gelnal (Senapati) villages on this day in 1993 during the Naga-Kuki ethnic clash, reminded the Inpi in a statement while urging the Chin-Kuki people to hoist black flags at their houses, observe fast and prayer meetings besides offering gifts for the memorial fund at every Lhang Inpi (areas) of KIM.
