COPTAM rolls back bandh

Lamka, December 15 2010: Following the assurance given by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to representatives of COPTAM at Khuga Dam's Inspection Bungalow here, COPTAM has withdrawn the 60 hour long bandh it had intended to impose from 5 pm today.

'As the Union Home Minister has assured to address the demands raised by COPTAM we have withdrawn the proposed 60 hours general strike that otherwise will begin today at 5 pm,' sources in the COPTAM said.
