Imphal, February 20, 2010: A jawan of the BRTF was shot at by unidentified gunmen in front of the ATM booth of Axis Bank at Lalambung Makhong Takhellambam Leikai under Lamphel Police Station in Imphal West district at around 6.45 pm today.

According to police report, the injured BRTF jawan identified as Bhagwan Singh Nedhi (54) s/o late Jain Singh Nedhi of Pune was hit by a bullet on his left shoulder and has been admitted to Shija Hospital.

He is posted in transport circle of BRTF at Lamphelpat.
