Imphal, January 14 2010: Troops of 22 Grenadiers of 26 Sector under Hq IGAR (S) felicitated Dr Helkhomang Touthang at his village, Moltuk in Chandel district on his completion of Ph D degree from Manipur University on 'Ethnic fission among the Kukis of Manipur'.

Col Arupendu Gupta, CO of 22 Grenadiers graced the felicitation function as the guest of honour, according to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S).

He called on the youth to take inspiration from Helkhomang and also urged the gatherings to encourage the youths to take up higher education as that alone can be the bedrock of large scale grass root level development in any society.

A large numbe of dignitaries of Moltuk and adjoining areas attended the function.
