MPP pitches for bicameral bodies

The Manipur People's Party (MPP) has drawn the attention of the Government to consider the bicameral system in the State.
Addressing media persons today at its office, MPP President (in-charge) S Umananda, said in a multi-ethnic state like Manipur, the introduction of bicameral legislative system would be favourable.
This would also facilitate the participation of educationalists in policy making, which the State is in need.He said the party would hold a panel discussion to be broadcast live on ISTV which would be participated by eminent educationists and politicians.
