Imphal, November 08:
The Zeliangrong Students' Union, Manipur has deplored alleged negligence and apathy of the State Government towards the people of Tamenglong district.
In a statement issued by the Union, it described the IT Road, Old Cachar Road, Haflong and Tening Road and other District roads as non-motorable and unfit for public transport.
In many portions of these roads pot-holes, uneven surfaces, landslides/blockades, substandard repairing works have become a common sight, contended the statement.
It also mentioned that joint meeting of social bodies like ZU, ZWU, ZYF and ZSUM held at Tamenglong on Nov 4 reaffirmed ban on buses (MNO1-7351 & MNO1-1319) from further service on Imphal-Tamenglong route.
