Imphal, October 03: The Hiyangthang Lairembi Seva Samittee has appealed to all organisations not to call any bandhs or general strikes during the festival.

A statement released by the Samittee urged the Phambei to withdraw the bandh called by it in the interest of the general public.

Social service held: The Itam NungolJuvenile Club, Yourabung observed the 109th birth anniversary of Hijam Irabot by organising a social service camp at the locality including Sawombung PHC campus, said a press release of the club.

Extempore speech, recitation and singing competitions were also held to mark the occasion.

MUTSU freshers meet: The annual Freshers' Meet, farewell cum felicitation programme of Manipur University Tribal Students' Union will be held on Oct 7 at Recreation Hall, MU campus.
