Imphal, May 26: Additional police force was rushed to Cheirap Court to foil meira paibis� attempt to snatch one of two suspects brought to the court in connection with the death of one moirangthem Ingo (36) of khongnang Pheidekpi Makha Leikai.

After Ingo was found dead in Ningomthong area on May 11 night police picked up Yengkhom Dayal (37) of Khongnang Pheidekpi and Yenkokpam Hemanta (38) of Sairom Leirak Makha Leikai.

The Court premise skirmishes unfolded after Dayal cleared Hemanta�s name from case.

Soon after disposing his statement in the Court several women folk rushed into the premises and tried to retrieve Hemanta from police custody.

however, the attempt proved futile and both the suspects have been taken to Sajiwa Jail.
