Imphal, November 18: Authorities of the 34 Assam Rifles posted at Yairipok have handed over 600 litres of seized country liquor to functionaries of AMADA, Yairipok Local Council, said a release while adding that the seizure was made from one Thiyam Pahari Singh (30) s/o th Kalanjoy of Yairipok Angtha Mamang Leikai when the individual was trying to supply the same to one Khomdombi Devi of Athokpam Makha Leikai.

The liquor quantity confiscated from a Maruti car (MN06/0874) had been subsequently destroyed, it added.

Another liquor consignment of 300 litres were seized by personnel of 32 AR (Andro post) from Thokchom Sunil s/o Th Achou, Thokchom Subash s/o (L) Th Angahan, Ningthoujam Biken Singh s/o (L) N Ibochou of Khangabok, said an AMADA release.

The liquor seized from an Ambassador car and handed over to AMADA volunteers had been destroyed.
