Imphal, November 14 2008: AT LEAST a passenger died while 22 other hurt when a bus servicing on route from Mao to Senapati met with an accident at a spot at Chawai Namei Khullen located some 50 meters away from Mao this afternoon at around 3.30 pm.

The ill-fated bus bearing registration no.NL-01B-0430 was coming towards Mao from Senapati this afternoon and met with the accident while negotiating a corner on the stretch of the highway-39 .

Reports said Athikhi (40) hailing from the same village Chawai where the accident occurred died at the spot while other injured people were administer first aids to a nearby healthcare centre.

Seriously hurt passengers were later referred at hospitals in Imphal.
