Semjanthang Haokip and Ngamjathang Lhungdim were taken by taken by president of Cheif of Kuki Chiefs� Association, Chandel Nethang Haokip on February 20 and 21 from their respective homes, said wives of the two persons who were still missing.
When a team of reporters at Moreh visited the houses two missing persons, Hoikhutin wife of Semjathang Haokip and Vaichin of Ngamjathang Lhungdim said that with regard to the taking away of their husbands, they had lodged complaint with HTC.
But the duo fail to come back home till date, they cried.
They came to know that their husbands were in the custody of UKLF when they were informed over phone on the matter.
The ailing 80-year old father of Semjathang, Paojathang had also lodged complaints with the authority of the Hill Tribal Council and 31 Assam Rifles on knowing that they were in the custody of the UKLF after taking away by Nethang Haokip.
Considering the grievances facing by the families, they also appealed to all concerns to release them safely without any condition at the earliest.
