Imphal, May 01 2009:
The Joint Forum for Transport Welfare, Tamenglong (JFTW) is going to impose strict roaster system and ban on the owners/proprietors of buses who are illegally plying on National Highway 53 I T Road without passengers' life insurance.
JFTW in statement signed by its Chairman, Mathiusang Panmei stated that all vehicles plying on this route should not be given road permit for overloading of goods, quality of the vehicles should be maintained and should strictly follow the motor vehicle Act.
The forum also urged the authority concerned bus owners to immediately settle the matters of the victims of May 07 before May 16 failing which a series of agitation will be taken up stated the forum.
