Imphal, December 26 2009: Gaan-Ngai Celebration Committee, Manipur has said that Kabui Dharma Sabha President Lungpuijei's claim, 'celebrating the festival in State level distorts the internal precept of Gan-Ngai', is baseless.

A press release issued by committee's president, Poudongai Kamson clarified that all the required customary rituals are followed while organising Gaan-Ngai as State level celebration.

He also reminded that festivals like Kut and Lui Ngai Ni are also celebrated in State level.
