Imphal, April 26: Towards the two week long adventure cum ecological awareness camp being organised by MMTA under the aegis of HQs 57 Mountain Division at Lamdan, army is providing assistance to MMTA, said a PIB (DW) press release.

The camp participated by 60 children including 16 girls was inaugurated yesterday by commander of 73 Mountain Brigade Brig Deepak Vashista and MLA Manga Vaiphei.

The camp includes mountaineering, trekking and river rafting on Leimatak river, stated the release.

Speaking on the occasion, Brig Deepak encouraged the students to take up sports and to lead disciplined lives so as to become responsible citizens, it conveyed.
