Imphal, September 19: Peeved at describing the location of the proposed Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Project as Thangal village as published in the media recently, the chairman of the Taosang Village Administration Authority asserted that the site for the Project should be at Taosang village (Taosang Khunou) as per the survey and investigation conducted for the Project since 1970's.Maintaining that the No Objection Certificate issued by Taosang village chairman should not be treated so cheap, Taosang village chairman G Tamjanlung has asked the State Government to explain the alleged change of Project site lest PIL may be initiated.
