Imphal, December 26 2009: Among nine students of fashion designing selected from all over the world, Teresa Laisom of Manipur has won the best jury award at the Pearl Academy of Fashion, India for her 'mysterious and intricately' worked crochet and knit collection.

A graduate from Pearl Academy of Fashion, India, Teresa is among three students from Asia selected for the honour.

Themed 'Inside Out', her collection was inspired by the darker sides of fairy tale characters, particularly the evil mood evoked by Snow White's stepmother.

The young fashion designer is the daughter of former MLA Laisom Ibomcha and Laisom Ongbi Indira of Keishamthong Laisom Leirak.
