Imphal, December 26: The RPF and its armed wing the PLA have offered revolutionary salutes to Sgt Chingkhei alias Chingkham Gopen (31) of Andro Loupaochung and Pvt Max alias Leishangthem Jadumani (21) of Singda Dam, who were killed in the gun fight with KNF (P) cadres on December 22 in between Keithelmanbi and Keihao.

Saluting the two, the outfit in a statement said that Chingkhei started working for the party from October 1999 and since then he had taken part in many encounters under Operation Red Sun.

Pvt Max joined the outfit in March this year and after undergoing basic military training was attached to the 253 Bn of the outfit and took part in operations under Operation Red Sun.

The outfit also shared the grief and pain of the bereaved family members and friends.
