Imphal, May 21: In an apparent case of lost of control, two persons riding a Honda Activa bumped into a roadside electric transformer at Khonghampat and died of electrocution.

The victims identified as Khwairakpam Sanatomba (17) of Tengdongyang and Nongthombam Dipu (18) of Luwangshangbam were coming from Tengdongyang before the took place at around 3:15 pm today.

The bodies have been retrieved by Sekmai police and deposited at RIMS morgue.

In another accident, at around 6:30 pm today near Shankar Talkies, Lamphel, another woman felled victim to a motorcycle accident.

The victim woman identified as Memtombi (45) of Takhel succumbed to injuries at JN Hospital.
