As part of the second phase of the agitation to demand the unconditional release of TIPS general secretary L Umakanta and publicity secretary Y Thabi, the Manipur Transport Joint Co-ordinating Committee has decided to suspend service on NH-53 from 5 am till 6 pm on September 21.In a statement, the Committee said that no passenger jeeps, auto rickshaws, DI Tatas or other taxis should ply on the route and warned that if any untoward incident occurs, then violators should be held responsible.
Similar agitation will follow on other routes.
