Imphal, August 18: The third sectorial summit of the North Eastern Council which was earlier scheduled at Imphal will be held at Delhi from August 20 to 22 with DoNER Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar in the chair.

In the summit which will focus on sports, education and art and culture of the region, the State will be represented by the Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary (Planning).

Meanwhile, the Union Planning Commission is informed to have released Rs 139 crore last month out of the total amount of Rs 500 crore earmarked for the State under the Central Government's Special Plan Assistance.
