Imphal, Jul 16: Five suspects were picked up by AR troops during a search operation launched between 1.30 am to 3.30 am today in connection with the killing of a Subedar on July 13.The five are N Boinao Meitei with one hand grenade, O Hemanta Singh (5 live rounds of 9 mm), T Brojen, Th Priyokumar and M Premkumar.

The AR troops issued arrest memos charging them to be members of UNLF.

However family members strongly refuted the AR charges.
