Imphal, June 15: A 10 year old boy was killed when he was knocked down by a Tata Sumo along Kanglapat road near M-Sector at about 6.40 pm today.

The deceased is identified as Lanthung Kamei son of Singapou Kamei of Kakhulong.

Two rods used for angling at Kanglapat were recovered from the spot.

It is reported that the Tata Sumo involved in the mishap sped away.

The corpse was picked up by City policemen and deposited at RIMS mortuary.
