Imphal, November 11 2008:
At least five occupants of an inter-state passenger bus suffered serious injuries when the vehicle fell into a river bed at Kuki Dolong area of Nagaland at around 5.30 pm today.
The accident spot laying along the national High-way is said to be about 20 kilometres from Dimapur.
The passenger carrier bearing registration No MN01/1365 and heading towards Dimapur side lost control, swerved and fell headlong about 50 feet deep from the road, Dimapur police station source said.
The injured, including the five seriously hurt, have been admitted to Dimapur Hospital, the source mentioned while disclosing that both the driver and his assistant had been absconding.
