IGAR urges Meira Paibis to promote peace

Imphal, Aug 01: Stressing the need to put forth concerted efforts to bring peace in the State, IGAR (South) Maj Gen BS Ghotra today invited Meira Paibi leaders at Mantripukhri.

Seventeen leaders of local Meira Paibi lups attended the meeting, said the PRO of AR in a statement today.

Presiding over the meeting, the IG said that such interaction will continue on a regular basis and stressed on the need for peace to prevail.

The Meira Paibis assured full co-operation to all the endeavours made by the IG to work for peace and progress in the region.

Brig PK Kayastha, Cdr of 9 Sector AR and CO of 4 AR Col AK Samanta were present.
