Imphal, February 01 2010:
The body of a 55-year old man who had reportedly gone out from home yesterday was fished out from Iril river today.
According to police, 55-year old Seram Chandramani of Nungoi Awang Leikai under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East district had gone out from home late afternoon yesterday to visit a friend in the same locality.
However, he did not return home and his body was fished out from near the foot of a bailey bridge construction over Iril river connecting Nungoi and Sawombung at around 5 am today.
Police suspects that he may have fell down while crossing the bridge.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted at RIMS today and later handed over to his family members.
