Imphal, November 29:
The proscribed KYKL has denied any connection with the two individuals, allegedly involved in the October 31 ambush against 1 AR, shot dead by troops of the same AR unit at Patbung under Phungyar police station on November 3.It also refuted any relation whatsoever between the outfit or its armed wing MYL and the two individuals shot dead by personnel of 1 AR at Pihang under Chassad police station at 1.30 am of November 26.A press release issued by KYKL's Deputy Secretary of Publicity and Research Apabi Mangang clarified that these places are not under its operational areas.
Casting aspersion that the deceased might be informers of security forces, the outfit alleged that all the four were killed in a fake encounter only to show that Assam Rifles can strike back at KYKL.
This is testified by the fact that all the deceased cannot be identified till date, asserted Apabi.
Were they cadres of any UG group or innocent civilians, their identities could have been established without any difficulty.
On the other hand, there has been no protest movements from any section of the society against these killings, it observed while stating that the KYKL will investigate into the killings so to remove all confusions among the general public.
It asserted that these killings were induced by the humiliating defeat suffered by 1 AR at the hands of MYL during the October 31 ambush at Sorbung village in which a Major and two other AR personnel were killed.
The security forces do not see any difference between civilians and armed cadres.
They view and treat all those who are racially different as their enemies, it alleged.
The outfit also called upon all the indigenous people of the State to stand united against the alleged atrocity of the alien forces.
