Bharat Nirman drive to be launched at CCpur

Imphal, December 28: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India and Press Information Bureau (PIB), Imphal would be jointly launching the Bharat Nirman Campaign over a period of four days with effect from January 8 next year at Synod Hall of Churachandpur district headquarters.

Announcing this during a press conference at the office of PIB Imphal at Old Lambulane here today, Media and Communication Officer of PIB Imphal M Premlata said that the main objective of the campaign is to spread awareness among the people on the various developmental schemes and programmes being taken up by the Government.

In order to ensure the success of the campaign, a co-ordinating committee has been set up with DDK Imphal, AIR Imphal, Song and Drama Division Imphal, Directorate of Field and Publicity, PIB, etc as the constituent representatives of Prasar Bharati, Premlata informed, adding that the Station Director of AIR has also been appointed as the chairman of the committee.

Photo exhibition, painting competition, discussion and lectures would be main highlight of the event.
