Carrying on its campaign for improving the quality of the students, All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Head office and its Lumlangdong District Committee today organised a one-day Lumlangdong District Level Students' Conference at CI College, Bishnupur.
AMSU HQs president Birendra Chingakham, president of AMSU Lumlangdong District Committee Premananda Tongbram and advisor of AMSU HQs Kh Ratan graced the conference as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
In his address, AMSU advisor Kh Ratan said students and Meira Paibis are the two biggest driving force in Manipur today.
It is these two forces which have been contributing their mite in fighting against any worthy cause of the people in Manipuri society, he said.
In his address as chief guest of the function, Birendra Chingakham said the present generation and students in particular should not remain contended in their present lot but should continue to strive hard for all round development of their personality as well as for the society.
While observing that students of today are the future pillars of the nation, Birendra said students need to make themselves strong and healthy for taking up the responsibility of the shouldering the task of nation building.
Member of Human Resource Development Group, Manipur (HRDGM) K Sheityajit, P Jasobanta and social worker Lakshikanta were among the resource persons who spoke at the conference attended by a large number of students coming from different parts of the district.
