Blood donation lined up

Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan has announced that a mega blood donation drive will be organized tomorrow at RIMS Hospital, with 100 participants donating blood to mark the 61st foundation day of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP).
Addressing the media at Thangmeiband Khuyathong Community Hall today, he added that the camp is part of the Nationwide Raktdan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0, recognized as the world's largest blood donation campaign.
Joykisan emphasized that donating blood to help those in need is a noble act that saves lives.
Stating that 7,500 blood donation camps will be held across 75 countries, including India, tomorrow, aiming to collect 300,000 units of blood, he added that ABTYP will also organize the blood donation drive at RIMS Hospital.
The mega blood donation drive will continue until October 2, he said and urged the public to actively participate and support the initiative.
There is shortage of blood in Manipur's blood banks, he said and emphasized that more blood donors are urgently needed to address the crisis and save lives.
Blood banks cannot exist without blood donors, the MLA said and reiterated that donating blood is the greatest act of service to humanity, saving countless lives.
He also mentioned that donating blood is perfectly safe.
